Guide for Authors

INTRODUCTION

Animal Nutrition

An International Open Access and Peer-Reviewed Journal.

Animal

Nutrition encompasses the full gamut of animal nutritional sciences and

reviews including, but not limited to, fundamental aspects of animal

nutrition such as nutritional requirements, metabolic studies, body

composition, energetics, immunology, neuroscience, microbiology,

genetics and molecular and cell biology related to primarily to the

nutrition of farm animals and aquatic species. More applied aspects of

animal nutrition, such as the evaluation of novel ingredients, feed

additives and feed safety will also be considered but it is expected

that such studies will have a strong nutritional focus.

Types of Paper

Contributions

falling into the following categories will be considered for

publication: original research papers, reviews, and short communication.

Authors

should select the appropriate article type from the list of options

when making your submission. Authors contributing to special issues

should ensure that they select the special issue article type from the

list.

Animal experiments

Does

the research involve experimentation on animals? If so, please provide

name of the ethical committee approving these experiments and confirm

authors’ compliance with all relevant ethical regulations. The

institutional animal care and use committee statement should appear as

the first item in this section, such as "2.1. Animal ethics statement",

and authors should specify which publicly available animal care and use

standards were followed.

All animal experiments should comply with the ARRIVE guidelines.
